Jimmy's Favourite Garlic BreadJIMMY'S FAVOURITE GARLIC BREAD I got the original recipe from Guy Fieri via Food Network, but then I made a few changes/additions of my own. Justin and I both agreed thta this was thebest garlic bread we'd ever had!
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Liberally apply garlic butter to bread halves. Bake in 350ºF oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and top with basil, sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Turn oven to "Broil" and place bread back in oven. Broil for about 3-5 minutes, or until cheese melts. Watch it carefully so you don't burn it!
2 whole heads garlic
olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper
¾ pound butter, at room temperature
½ cup mayonnaise
pinch of paprika
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
⅓ cup fresh, grated Parmesan cheese
⅓ cup fresh, grated Asiago cheese
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Slice the tops (the pointy ends) off the garlic heads so that you expose all the cloves. Place heads in a piece of foil, drizzle olive oil over them, and season with salt and pepper. Seal foil around them and place in oven to bake for about 1 hour, or until soft. Remove and let cool.
Squeeze roasted garlic out into medium mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and thoroughly mix together. Refrigerate any leftover garlic butter.
