Slow Cooker Barbecue Pork SLOW COOKER BARBECUE PORK
Justin and I make my Uncle Gene's Secret Sauce for this recipe, but you can use bottled barbecue sauce. Or be adventurous and make your own barbecue sauce!
2 lb lean pork roast
2-3 tablespoon seasoning, your choice (I use a mix of Johnny's Caesar Garlic Spread & Seasoning and Tony Chachere's Original Cajun seasoning.)
water
barbecue sauce, to taste (about 12 ounces)
In a slow cooker, add ¼" - ½" of water. Season the pork roast and gently place into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 6-8 hours until it shreds easily and falls apart. Tip: after 4-5 hours, cut the roast into about 6 sections to help it cook faster. Carefully drain all liquids out of slow cooker. Using two forks, shred the roast inside the slow-cooker. Add barbecue sauce and continue cooking an low for 30-60 minutes.

Serve on slightly toasted hamburger buns.
