Spicy Garlic Hummus SPICY GARLIC HUMMUS
A recipe I came up with on my own takes traditional hummus and gives it a huge punch of flavour!

1 14½ -ounce can Garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained
2 rounded tablespoons Tahini Paste*
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
4-6 cloves garlic
Kosher salt
ground black pepper
½ lemon, juiced
extra virgin olive oil

Combine all ingredients, except the olive oil, in a food processor bowl. Begin processing and slowly drizzle olive oil through the top spout of your food processor as you blend the mixture. Add olive oil until mixture is the consistency you desire (some people like thicker hummus, some people like it thinned out). Remember, you can always add more, but you can't take any out!

Serve with warm pita bread, toasted pita bread, crackers, tortilla chips. Try using it in place of mayonnaise on sandwiches and burgers. It's very versatile!

*Most stores carry Tahini, usually by the peanut butter or the Asian foods. Ask a store employee to help you find it if you have trouble locating it.
